What is our "Container"? Where is the interface?

Let us consider the surface of the container to be the surface of the body

Information can flow in or out at any point on this surface

Some areas on this surface can support a higher information rate than others:

Examples: eyes, ears, tips of fingers, nose?

Data output
Examples: mouth, fingers

The information "Bottleneck" however is almost certainly not the surface, but is a distributed constraint resulting from the complexity of the process of integrating new sensations into the internal model.
